Come enjoy the monthly Nashville MB series as the cozy taproom at Kilter Brewing Co. transforms into a Nashville-style Writers Round. Each month features intimate performances by four of Manitoba’s finest songwriters who will share their songs in turn. One performs a song, followed by the next writer, and the next, and so on. Each songwriter might join in with the others, add harmonies, contribute a guitar riff, or just listen. Writers talk about how and why they wrote the songs, and there are always lively stories and interaction between the writers.
Join us on Thursday of January 8 for another Writer’s Round featuring a new lineup of songwriters. Join our host KWIAT with Fernanda, Fuller Hull, and Lady of the Red for another night of endearing stories, hearty laughs, and killer tunes.
Advance tickets will be available on December 19th at 9AM for $12 + fees!
All ages welcome! Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Rush seating only.
KWIAT is a Winnipeg-based Métis Polish avant-pop artist celebrated for her bold, genre-defying sound. Drawing inspiration from Fiona Apple and Hayley Williams, her debut music—co-produced with Hawksley Workman and mixed by George Seara—has received critical acclaim. Her debut single, "Follow The Call," reached the top 10 on SiriusXM's The Indigiverse. She has been recognized on the Women in Music Canada Honour Roll (2023) and featured in Billboard Canada’s Inaugural Women in Music Industry Spotlight (2024). KWIAT has captivated sold-out audiences opening for Jim Cuddy, Sam Polley, and performing at major events like TD Winnipeg International Jazz Festival, Festival du Voyageur, and Pride Winnipeg.
Drawing inspiration from folklore, mysticism, and the natural world- FERNANDA is an intuitive artist with vivid vision and a powerful voice. Her debut record 'Deer Trails' is a demo-tape inspired collection of songs for the pathfinder and poet. Weaving elements of folk, roots, rock, and blues together into an eclectic and psychedelic realm of her own, FERNANDA carries the spirit of folk music into the modern world, calling listeners to remember the importance of storytelling and self expression.
A “Songwriter for the Second Chancers”, Fuller Hull is a country folk singer-songwriter from Brokenhead, Manitoba. Honest and raw, Fuller invites you into his life – one song at a time. Fuller Hull is a “second chance” of sorts, and he's not your typical up-and-comer. Like a well-worn farm tool, his songs have rustic handles and sharp hooks that produce some of the finest materials his farm life has to offer.
His first album “March” (2021) offers a very personal debut. His second album, “The Unsuspected and Unstoppable” (2024), shares tales of his life from the city, in the mountains, on the farm, and from the heart.
Fuller makes a point of touring small towns. He was invited to perform as a Showcase Artist with the Manitoba Arts Network in September 2025. He is heading to Belfast, Northern Ireland to showcase at Your Roots Are Showing in January 2026.
Lady of the Red is a singer-songwriter and multi-disciplinary artist wielding 60s-throwback Nancy Sinatra meets The Doors psych-blues rock. Arresting lyricism that could stand alone (owed to her early artistic years as a spoken word artist and author.) Melodies seemingly channeled from another era. And voice that “feel(s) touched by a spiritual musical legacy.” - The Wild Is Calling.
Under her previous project, Larysa Musick (her no-joke personal name), she released ‘Tomorrow Is Bound to Come’ to critical acclaim. Her new namesake, Lady of the Red, references Lady in Red (femme fatale), as well as Larysa’s struggles with chronic pelvic pain. Her forthcoming work explores the challenges women often face in seeking diagnosis and care. As well as historical portrayals of womankind and the feminine gaze.
